I recently had the pleasure of being featured on a blog called Super Mumas where they do Q&A’s with mums who share insights and experiences on being a parent.
I loved that there are mums in all different situations – some who have gone back to work, single mums, business owners, some who SAHMs (stay at home mums), mums living overseas. All sharing their very different insights on negotiating their way through parenthood. It just shows that there is no one “cookie cutter” shape to what a modern mum looks like. It’s each to their own. The way it should be 🙂
I have to admit, I have found being a parent is a path of many surprises – highs and lows. I thought being a parent would be all about learning parenting skills. Silly me! How norrow minded I was. It’ s been sooooo much more than that. For one thing, I’ve been surprised how much I’ve learnt about myself during the journey so far – my strengths and areas where I want to develope more. And as young as my children are, they continue to be a constant source of learning for me.
If you have moment pop over a check out some of the great Q&A with other mum’s at Super Mumas.
FYI – Super Mumas is a blog found on the My Super Nanny website, which is a brilliant resouce to help you find the perfect nanny or baby sitter to meet your family’s specific needs!
