Much of my work as a freelancer is done solo from home. But lately I’ve had a heap of meetings on and I’ve actually been able to get dressed up, put on my best work wear and hustle! So the gift card I recently received from The Iconic was a welcome sight into my inbox as I desperately needed to build to my working wardrobe.
I saw this fabulous light weight animal print knit (see below pic) from The Iconic’s range of jumpers & cardigans and I knew I had to have it. But animal print is one of those tricky pieces. You have to style it the right way or it can look a little more ‘red light district’ than ‘polished chic’.
My simple rule on how to wear animal print is…
“Animal print is a statement.
It should be the one bold focal piece in your outfit.
The rest of your outfit should be simple, classic and understated.
Or alternatively if you are only wearing a hint of animal print like an accessory, it’s easier to mix it in with other statement pieces.”
Here’s some inspiration on how to put animal print together to make a polished and stylish statement, rather than being arrested by the style police and being sent back to jungle!
What are your thoughts on animal print? Love it or leave it?
