Summer time is mosquito fest around my neck of the woods! It’s a shame because we love eating outside on those balmy summer evenings. But I really hate spraying myself and the kids with insect repellants. I just can’t help but feel like I’m covering myself in nasty chemicals. And the insect coils you burn make me sneeze my head off and eyes water. So it kind of takes the fun out of it!
But the Para Kito range I’ve just tried is very different. It’s an all natural mosquito protection which makes it perfect for the kids too.
It comes in the form of a pellet and when you take it out of it’s packaging, activates for 15 days. You place the pellet into a netting pouch in the accompanying accessory, like the wrist band (which can also be placed on around your ankle), or the clip which could be attached to a bag, pram, belt, esky … anywhere really.
It’s a unique natural formula using essential oils and food grade stabilising molecules which creates a slow release of mosquito repellant. No nasty chemical here!
Now, I’ve used these wrist bands down the coast during a beach holiday, sitting outside on warm evenings and a dusk concert in the park. Not a single bite! And my kids who are like mosquito magnets have also benefited. I’ve only seen one bite on them –compared to ten bites they would normally get (which is fine because Para Kito doesn’t promise 100% protection).
I also placed the wrist band on my bedside table at night to keep those noisy little fellas away from me while I’m sleeping.
They say that Para Kito is suited to any climate however you should follow health warnings. And in areas of high risk they recommend wearing two (one on your wrist and one on your ankle).
Next time you’re heading outside I recommend getting a Para Kito on to make sure you are mosquito free and chemical free!
